"Kurt & Kara, You have an extraordinary gift for hospitality and have the most restful and beautiful setting we have ever stayed in! I don't think words can adequately describe the wonderful experience we had at the Tree Frog Night.  We wish you every success as word of your incredible establishment spreads to the B&B frequenter's "must stay" lists!  If we have the privilege of returning to Bellingham, you can be sure we will hope to stay again, and we will highly recommend it to others. Thank you so much!"

About the Cottage

The inn is comprised of a newly built cottage (exterior photo gallery) (exterior photo gallery) (exterior photo gallery) (exterior photo gallery) (exterior photo gallery) containing guest suites, as well as shared outdoor spaces, and a breakfast area in the main house. The cottage includes two suites that each sleep up four people, including a king bedroom that can be split into two extra-long twins.  The cottage is set in gardens, lawn, cedar forest, and near a pond with a small waterfall. Each suite has its own covered hardwood front porch with a comfortable place sit and watch all the birdlife that comes to visit. Both suites also offer propane stoves in their living areas for relaxing by fire, and radiant floor heat in the private bathrooms.

Each suite has a different theme. Mediterranean Suite has a colorful Turkish influence, including imported light fixtures, original cut tile and ceramic art work, a jetted bath with shower, and imported rugs and fabrics. The Coast Salish Native American Suite has natural clay walls, original totem and painted artwork by local Native artisans, original cut stone and cabinetry work, a double shower, and salmon-themed Pendleton wool blankets.

Both suites offer luxurious touches such as down bedding, coffee makers, built in Paperstone desks with comfortable desk chairs, access to a refrigerator and microwave, flat screen 37" TVs with Blu-Ray DVD players, iPpod docks and CD players, free movies, fresh flowers, a welcome bottle of local wine or juice to enjoy, organic cotton robes, wireless internet, oversized bath towels, a taste of fair trade chocolates at your bedside, access to central tea service and an icemaker, filtered drinking water, hair dryers and make up mirrors, soft cotton sheets and posturepedic mattresses.

The furnished, sunny back patio and deck with a fire circle and both propane and charcoal BBQs are available for guest use as available by advanced arrangement.

In addition to taking advantage of the many outdoor activities in the area, we offer other ways to focus on your health while you visit. The cottage includes an infra-red corner sauna that fits up to four people. These saunas are included in many health programs being offered all over the country. You may also treat your body to a relaxing on-site spa service (massages, wraps, facials, scrubs, energy work, hot rock massages, and more) by advanced arrangement. In addition, we serve a healthful and delicious Mediterranean-style breakfast featuring organic, local fruits, herbs and vegetables—some homegrown. As part of your breakfast, you have the option to choose between a gourmet egg dish made from local, organic, free-range eggs or a healthful smoothie, made using organic fruits and vegetables.
